Two huge offers come for Rivals100 LB

Easily one of the top prospects on the East Coast and across the nation nabbed two more offers in the past couple weeks. Rivals100 linebacker Jelani Jenkins picked up the scholarships from a couple of the top teams in the country in the Big Ten and Pac-10.
"Coach told me a couple days ago I got an offer from Southern Cal," the 6-foot-0, 203-pounder said. "Before that, Ohio State offered me last week. I'm really excited about all the big schools, but I still need to do some research on them."

Jenkins discussed his most recent offers a bit more.
"I'm really excited about the Southern Cal one," he said. "Obviously USC is a great school. As my coach described, that is about the best offer I can get. It's a great honor. My family is real happy.
"The offer from Ohio State definitely puts them up there too. They are a big name in the group."
Do either of these offers change anything for the Wheaton (Md.) Good Counsel prospect?
"It doesn't really change anything," he said. "Everything is pretty balanced right now and I'm still looking to see what will be the best fit for me. I think I'm up to 22 offers."
Meanwhile, Jenkins just returned from a visit to Penn State on March 1st. He went into detail on that as well.
"Penn State was good," he said. "I think eventually they will wind up being one of my top choices, I'm not totally sure yet there's a long way to go. I got to meet Joe Paterno for the first time. He's a real humble man. My mom was talking to him about being a legend and he was like, 'I'm no legend, I've just been in the game a long time.' He was real humble and it was good."
