Two heavyweights remain

Five star athlete prospect Whitney Lewis (6-1, 215, 4.35) from Ventura (Calif.) Saint Bonaventure returned from Florida State on a high from seeing his good friend Lorenzo Booker. The question many FSU and USC fans is – will Whitney’s good time at FSU sustain long enough for his to sign on Seminole LOI?
“It is down to USC and FSU,” Saint Bonaventure head coach John Mack said. “He had a great time at FSU. Whitney was thrilled to his old friend Lorenzo Booker. Seeing Lorenzo made the trip for Whitney.”
“Whitney was fired up by his trip to FSU,” Mack said. “He is now back to normal. It is going to end up a battle between USC and FSU.”
“It’s going to be interesting,” Mack said.
Lewis is rated by Rivals as the third best prospect at any position. Rivals rates Lewis as the nation’s one athlete prospect. Lewis is rated by Rivals as the second best prospect at any position in the Western States and as the number two prospect at any position in the state of California.
Lewis had offers from over 50 schools and now it is down to two.
Lewis is a standout at both running back and wide receiver and he had a phenomenal senior season leading the Seraphs to their fourth consecutive CIF SS Championship. He rushed for 1,059 yards, caught 69 passes for 1,235 yards and ranked second in the state in scoring with 42 touchdowns and 268 points.
