Two have Larkins attention

Northwestern was the first school to extend an offer to three-star Cincinnati (Ohio) LaSalle running back Jeremy Larkin last fall, and the Wildcats are a top contender for his services.
"They are definitely one of the top teams I am looking at," Larkin said. "It was a nice place when I went up there. I really liked it a lot and it is a pretty good school academically. I will probably be going up there for the spring game in April."

Larkin holds seven total offers and lists Northwestern as one of two teams standing out at this stage of his recruitment. The other is his hometown Cincinnati Bearcats.
"Another good school is UC," Larkin said. "It's a good vibe, not only being (close), but academically too. They are great academically with one of the majors I am thinking about. Then, just the atmosphere is very friendly."
Larkin also plans to make a spring visit to Cincinnati, and he is trying to set up a trip to Wake Forest, which has also offered the class of 2016's all-purpose back. He made his most recent visit to a nearby MAC school.
"I went up to Miami (Ohio) just to see how that was and get a feel for it," Larkin said. "That was pretty good, honestly. It is a real nice place, nice school and beautiful campus."
Larkin said recruiting has been slow recently, in part due to his basketball schedule. The 5-foot-10, 180-pound prospect is LaSalle's starting point guard and they head to the district championship this weekend. Larkin set his school's career steals record this season and is averaging 10 points, 2.6 steals and four rebounds a game.
On the football field last fall Larkin also put up impressive numbers for a state title team, finishing with 2,584 rushing yards and 38 touchdowns.
