Two have gotten the jump on Watkins

Sunrise (Fla.) Piper wide receiver Chavar Watkins has received plenty of early attention during the early portion of the Class of 2008 recruiting cycle. Like his high school teammate, Markinley Saint-Fort, two programs that recruit South Florida heavily have shown the most interest early.
"I was real pleased to get the attention from UCF and Auburn because I have always been interested in those schools," he said.

The Auburn Tigers have developed quite a reputation for fielding a good offense during the recent years.
"I know they have a great running game and the passing game keeps increasing and I am real interested," Watkins said.
Several aspects of Central Florida's program stand out to Watkins.
"I love UCF's passing game and I love their weight room," he said.
Two things are at the top of Watkins' checklist with regards to picking a college program.
"I am looking for a great football program and a medical academic program," he said, adding that he may want to go into pharmacy.
The 6-foot-2, 184-pounder says there are several positives that he will bring to a football team.
"I bring hard work, dedication and have a great personality," he said. "I am easy to get along with."
Watkins had a 33-inch vertical leap and a 4.44-second shuttle at the Miami NIKE Combine on Super Bowl Sunday in Miramar, Fla.
He attended the Rivals.com Fort Lauderdale Junior Day on Feb. 18 at Northeast High School in Oakland Park, Fla.
