Two final official visits for 5-star Micah Parsons before Dec. 20 decision

Five-star Micah Parsons has kept out of the spotlight since his Harrisburg, Pa. team was upset in the Pennsylvania state tournament a few weeks ago. Now the defensive end is ready to finish out his recruitment with two more official visits before his commitment on December 20th.

IN HIS OWN WORDS…

"I'm going to Penn State this weekend and I'm going to Georgia next weekend," Parsons said. "Those will be my final two visits.

"Honestly, I'm not really expecting anything other than bonding with the guys at Penn State," he said. "I want to be with the people I'll potentially be with for the next four years. That's what I'm looking for, bonding time with the players and coaches. The coaches could have something different planned for this weekend and I'm sure that would be fun too.

"The new Nebraska coaching staff came by to see me," said Parsons. "Once I had heard the old coaches had been let go, I was no longer interested in Nebraska. They're still one of my top schools but it's too late to be able to build relationships with a new staff. There just isn't enough time.

"Florida is coming by tomorrow (Wednesday)," he said. "Penn State came by and Georgia was here today. Georgia and Penn State came by the school. Florida is coming to the school tomorrow.

"Kirby Smart is no joke," Parsons said. "When I talked to him earlier this year he told me they were going to win the SEC and they were going to bounce back. He's really brought that team up and he's done what he said he would do. Freshmen do play early and location doesn't matter to them. D'Andre Swift is playing as a freshman with Sony Michel and Nick Chubb there too. That's really big. He's behind two future NFL players. It just shows that if you go down there and work you can play."

RIVALS' REACTION…

Parsons is never one to mince words but he stops short of giving too much away about his recruitment. It does seem like Penn State will be the pick on December 20th but it's hard to count out a team like Georgia, especially when you remember that this will not be his first time visiting the Athens campus. Still, Penn State, head coach James Franklin, and the rest of the staff, players, and commits seem to have a strong hold on Parsons and his family.
