Two favorites for TE

Davis Koppenhaver heard the message, that if he took an unofficial visit to Duke he could very well receive an offer.
So the Newhall (Calif.) Hart tight end traveled across the country, toured the Duke campus, met with the coaches and got the good news.

"I've been talking to them for a couple months," Koppenhaver said. "They pretty much said if I came down for a visit they would most likely offer. We hung out and visited for about three or four hours and at the end of it they offered.
"I liked it a lot. I like how they mix their athletics and academics and they explained their whole $200-million dollar renovation to their stadium so I'm really excited about where their football program is going."
The 6-foot-5, 209-pound tight end who looked good at the RCS Los Angeles this spring has now been offered by Duke, Iowa State, Nevada, New Mexico State, UNLV and Yale.
Koppenhaver said two teams especially stand out in his recruitment but that he doesn't plan to rush a decision.
The Newhall Hart recruit said he still wants to see what happens with certain teams - particularly UCLA - early in his senior season before making any commitment.
"So far my favorites are Yale and Duke," Koppenhaver said. "I'm really waiting for UCLA or some school like that. Duke and Yale are great so far.
"I'm just waiting for the right time and the right opportunity. I'm in no rush really."
