Moncks Corner (S.C.) Berkeley linebacker Ryan Brown has some impressive offers, but right now two of them stand out.
“I like most of the teams that have offered, but South Carolina and Tennessee kind of stick out in my mind,” said the 6-foot-2, 235-pound standout. “When they offered, it was special.”
Brown also has offers from North Carolina, Maryland, Florida and Clemson and is considering all of them.
“I’m camping at South Carolina next week and then I’ll try to figure out which five schools I’ll take official visits to,” he said. “I’m going to take all of my visits and I’m sure I’ll take a look at USC and Tennessee.”
Brown had 74 tackles in just six games as a junior. He missed more than half the season with an ankle injury and more than 15 games over the last two seasons with ankle problems. He’s been working out every day this summer.
“I’m almost up to 400 pounds on my bench,” he said. “And I’ve been doing a lot of running. I’m ready for camp.”
