Two early favorites for Boyd

Wide receiver Tyler Boyd from Clairton (Pa.) has been to two different junior day's and, not surprisingly, those are at the top of his list right now.
"West Virginia and Penn State are really at the top as of now but it's still early in the process," said Boyd. "Penn State has been recruiting me since before the coaching changes and that means a lot to me. I really like the new coaches, especially Coach O'Brien. He seems very trustworthy and I like Coach Hixon and Coach London. They're all great guys."

Boyd also gave his thoughts about his West Virginia junior day experience.
"The West Virginia visit was very similar, but the Penn State one was a little better and we did a little more," he said. "We went to the stadium at Penn State and at West Virginia we went to a basketball game so it was pretty different."
The 6-foot-1, 168-pounder is in contact with plenty of other schools and is trying to work out a time to go visit.
"I've been hearing from Illinois, Michigan State, Virginia, Maryland, Oregon, Wisconsin, Michigan and the other schools that have offered me," Boyd explained. "I want to visit Michigan State and Virginia sometime soon, but basketball might get in the way."
Boyd finds one school particularly interesting.
"Getting an offer from Southern Cal is a dream of mine," he said. "All the great payers go from USC to the NFL. Reggie Bush is my favorite player."
