Two Clear Favorites For TE

Richmond (Va.) Hermitage tight end Duane Brown has two favorite teams and isn't afraid to go into depth about each one.
"Right now it's Virginia and Virginia Tech," said the 6-foot-5, 250-pounder. "I have an official set with UVA for Nov. 15 and with Virginia Tech for Nov. 29. I'll probably take visits to Maryland and North Carolina also and then decide in December."

Brown has offers from everyone on his list except for UVA, but that hasn't soured him on the Cavaliers.
"Well, I like both UVA and Tech. I like both of the coaching staffs, they seem to be pretty nice. Virginia has a nice school, I mean academically, and Tech has a nice football tradition. I like both of them about the same.
"I like coach Beamer from Tech because, from what I've seen, he seems to be a pretty calm guy, he's not too emotional. I like UVA's coaching staff because they utilize their tight ends a lot. When I went to the South Carolina game all of their tight ends got at least one reception I think.
"I think Virginia's team is the one of the future after Lee Suggs graduates. They can do better in the future I think because they've got a really young team. They can only get better I think. Tech has a young team too, but not as young as UVA seems to be."
Brown is also interested in the Terps and Heels.
"UNC is struggling this year, but they're playing a lot of young guys too," he said. "Maryland has been as strong as they were last year lately and they'll be in a bowl game again."
Brown's Hermitage team is 8-0 this season and he expects his team to go far in the playoffs.
"We have a good team," he said. "I missed some time with an injury this year and we had some other guys out, but we kept winning. Now that we're getting healthy we're going to be even better."
