Two big visits ahead for Brown

While Thomas Brown does not want to say Arizona State and Nebraska are his favorites the Gardena (Calif.) Serra linebacker is planning visits to both places over the next few weeks so the Sun Devils and Huskers are definitely under serious consideration.
"It's very big for me so I can get a chance to get a feel for both of those teams and really tour the campuses and talk to the coaches," Brown said Friday night after Serra downed Los Angeles Cathedral.

"I really want to get a feel where I fit best. I don't want to say they're favorites but they're both a good look."
Brown, a 6-foot-2, 212-pound three-star inside linebacker, said he now has offers from Arizona State, Colorado, Nebraska, SMU and Utah and that he plans to take other trips but seeing Arizona State and Nebraska in the next few weeks will be crucial to his decision-making process.
Nebraska has been recruiting him since last season and he said it was important to land an offer from the Huskers.
Arizona State has been a longtime frontrunner for the Serra standout who's rated No. 25 at inside linebacker in the 2012 class by Rivals.com. Many other Pac-12 schools are also showing interest.
"(Arizona State) has been recruiting me really tough and they've been doing great this season," Brown said. "I've been watching them and trying to figure out where I'd fit in best with their defense. It's been pretty cool with them.
"With Nebraska, they've been recruiting me since I was a junior so it's been big to get the letters. To finally get the offer it felt really good. Most definitely it's important to go to those two places to see where I fit in."
Brown plans to visit Arizona State with Serra teammate Raymond Ford, who's committed to UCLA. Other trips are expected but Brown has not finalized any of those just yet.
