Two Big Commitments For MSU

"I committed to Michigan State yesterday," Agim Shabaj said. "I went up there with my mom and brother and (teammate) Drew Stanton and I committed. I like the coaches, especially coach Williams. He's a nice guy. All the coaches are. Michigan State has a lot of young talent. They're going to be good. And they have great fans. UCLA or Notre Dame was second. Notre Dame, Nebraska, Iowa, they offered, and Purdue and Michigan offered verbally."
Shabaj (5'10 185 4.35), from Farmington Hills Harrison (MI), is one of the Midwest's top wide receivers. He caught 44 passes last season.

And more good news for the Spartans comes as defensive end/linebacker Clifton Ryan said moments ago, "Agim (Shabaj) and I committed to Michigan State together. I seemed like a priority for them. I like the Michigan State staff. They're really up front. I plan to spend four or five years there and I think I'll be comfortable, happy there. Michigan was my second choice. They offered too."
Ryan (6'3 255 4.75), from Saginaw Arthur Hill (MI), made 116 tackles last season from his middle linebacker spot.
