Turner's envisioned himself in the Big House

THE LATEST: Christian Turner is focused on his team first, but he cannot help but to be excited about his future at Michigan. The star running back out of Buford (Ga.) has helped his team to an 10-1 record this season and round two of the playoffs is Friday.

The 5-foot-10, 185 pound senior committed to the Wolverines seven months ago and he has been to the cookout, he has spent time around the coaches, he has taken in a game inside the Big House and he couldn't be more excited about what he is stepping into in the summer of 2018.

IN HIS OWN WORDS: "I am really excited about my future at Michigan," said Turner. "I am still focused on my season at Buford first, but it is exciting to think about my future there.

"I went to my first game at Michigan when they played Michigan State and it was good. I got there around 1pm and everyone was already there, the fans were screaming and it was still seven hours before the game. It was a crazy environment and it was everything I thought it would be. It was even better than I expected. I knew how big football was in Michigan, but it is bigger than I expected.

"I started to envision myself playing there when I was on the field. Seeing the players run out of the tunnel was exciting and I cannot wait to do that. It was a great experience.

"I am going to work really hard to try an earn a spot on the field as a freshman. I do not care if it is on special teams or at running back. I just plan to go in there, work hard and do whatever I can to get on the field right away. The offense Michigan runs is similar to what we run at Buford, so I know some of the reads and some of the concepts, so I hope that helps me. I know things will be difficult, but I am going to work hard.

"Miami, Notre Dame and Florida are hitting me up and still recruiting me, but I am locked in on Michigan. Michigan is a great program that is led by coach Jim Harbaugh. He is a great guy who pushes hard work and teamwork.

"Coach Harbaugh is a players coach and a really cool guy. What people see on television is who he is. He does not hide anything. He is smart, he makes things fun and I cannot wait to play for him."

RIVALS REACTION: Not all schools have completely given up on Turner, but maybe they should. Yes, anything can happen in recruiting, but he appears to set on being a Wolverine. He is leaning towards signing with Michigan during the early signing period in December, so that pretty much says how strong he is to #GoBlue. Turner has performed well this season and he has been the leader of a very talented three-man backfield at Buford. Turner does not worry about carries or fame, he just goes about his business, he works hard and the Michigan fans should be very excited about this commit.
