Turnage cancels trip, ready for next

Houston (Texas) Chavez tight end Harold Turnage was supposed to finally get on the road for his first official visit this past weekend to TCU, Those plans changed before he could get there, but he still has one set for this weekend he's excited about.
The 6-foot-3, 260-pounder says that the TCU coaches let him know that they were full at the tight end position and cancelled the official visit. Now, his next trip is to Texas A&M this weekend. There could be a chance he decides right then and there.

"I'm going to A&M this week for sure," Turnage said. "A&M should be offering me this week during the visit. Depending on how the trip is, I might commit on the spot."
Turnage also received an offer from Florida International recently. Now his favorite schools include Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Arizona State, Miami, and FIU. One of those schools has the edge.
"A&M has an edge over everybody else," Turnage said. "Pretty much things are even, but A&M has that slight edge."
If Turnage leaves College Station without a decision, one more official visit will be taken after this weekend.
"After A&M, I'm going to Oklahoma State on Jan. 26," Turnage said. "It all depends on what A&M does this week. Otherwise, I'll wait until after my visits to Oklahoma State and maybe even Florida International in February to decide."
