Schools from across the country continue to call New Jersey for one of the most highly recruited players in the land. Claude "Turk" McBride of Camden (N.J.) Woodrow Wilson looks like he will wait until Signing Day before he decides.
"The phone just rings off the hook," said Woodrow Wilson head coach Mike McBride, who is also Turk's uncle. "Turk has a tough decision ahead of him and it looks like he will need until the end of January before he decides on a school."
Turk is visiting NC State this weekend (Jan. 10) and was scheduled to visit Miami the following weekend (Jan. 17).
"It looks like Turk is going to cancel his Miami trip. He really doesn’t want to go to school in Florida so he’d rather not waste a visit. He's thinking about a visit to Texas instead, but that's up in the air and not set up yet. He might not even go on a visit that weekend now."
With official visits to Tennessee and Ohio State already complete these next three weeks will be very interesting.
"Turk will visit Virginia on Jan. 24," said coach McBride. "He's really starting to like Virginia a lot lately so that trip will be an important one."
Coach McBride said that Turk doesn't have a leader at this time.
