Tupelo back pushing forward

It took a little time to get going this season for Tupelo (Miss.) running back Kenneth Davis. The Ole Miss commit came out of the gates hampered by injury but is starting to hit his stride at the midpoint in the season. With six games and an Ole Miss visit under his belt, his senior year is starting to come into focus.
"I was struggling early on," Davis said. "I was having back spasms till the second or third game. It was frustrating and at times the pain was so much I could hardly handle it but I just played through it. I'm all healthy now. I've scored five or six touchdowns so far."

With good size and 4.4 speed, Davis is a dangerous weapon for the Golden Wave, but he claims that he's just one of many on his 5-1 squad.
"We've got a lot of weapons in our offense so whoever gets a chance to make the play makes the play," he said. "I just do the best that I can when I get the opportunity."
Davis, who committed to Ole Miss back in May, has already been to the Oxford, Miss. campus once this fall with another trip planned.
"I went to the Florida game and I'm going again this weekend," he said. "[The Florida game] was a really good game. They really showed that they want to win. I think they shocked some people."
Despite his commitment to Ole Miss, Davis continues to get interest from schools and he isn't opposed to listening.
"I'm still looking around," he said. "Alabama is a school I'm looking at. I've always been a big Alabama fan. I'm gonna try to get there for a visit."
Davis, who already cancelled one trip to Alabama, says that nothing is final until signing day.
Davis is a three-star prospect and is currently ranked as the No. 8 prospect in the state of Mississippi.
