Tulsa WR getting big looks

Tulsa (Okla.) Union receiver Howard Scarborough plays for one of the top programs in Oklahoma, and the 5-foot-10, 165-pound receiver put up big numbers and is starting to get big attention.
After averaging 12.7 yards a reception in 2007, Scarborough said one school has quickly moved up to the top of his list.

"SMU is a verbal offer," Scarborough said. "I went to SMU, and I tried to meet coach Jones, but he had a prior commitment. I talked with Jeff Reinebold instead."
And the meeting was a great one apparently.
"I've talked to coach Reinebold, and I told him that I will commit as soon as I get that offer," Scarborough said. "My family is planning on moving to Fort Worth, Texas. Coach Reinebold and I have established a real good relationship. I'm real comfortable, and I trust him. He said I remind him of his son. You don't really get that too much."
"They want me to play slot receiver. They say I have what it takes to fit in their offense. Coach Jones says he likes to see receivers run after the catch and they think I have what it takes. "
Scarborough is also getting some good attention from other schools.
"I've received some mail from TCU," he said. "Navy was at my school last Friday to talk to my coach about me. I'm going to camps at OSU, Iowa State, Vanderbilt and Northwestern. I'm going to go to TCU games. I think I'll take all my visits to SMU. TCU is a rivalry game so I'm going to go to that."
Scarborough is pumped about his senior season.
"I'm playing free safety, too, and I'll be running both ways," Scarborough said. "I'll start more on offense later. I'm really excited about the Broken Arrow and Jenks' games. Broken Arrow is the first game of the year like always."
