Tulsa lands another from Metroplex

Tulsa has made a living the past few years on recruiting kids from the Dallas Metroplex and it looks like the Golden Hurricane has scored again.
This time the commitment comes from Mansfield (Texas) Summit safety James Lockett. The 5-foot-10, 200-pounder picked Tulsa (December 3) over UTEP (December 17). Lockett also had offers from Utah and New Mexico State.
"Tulsa is an up-and-coming program," Lockett said. "I felt like I could commit there when I took my visit up there, but I needed to compare it to another school. That's why I wanted to visit UTEP. I did, but in the end I felt best about Tulsa, and that's where I'm going."
