Tulane tags a Texan
Dallas Jesuit two-star weakside defensive end Sean Carney said he would have a final decision after he returned from his official visit to Tulane. One small problem, though. He committed before he could even get home.
“I committed this morning before I left to Tulane,” Carney, who is 6-foot-2 and 233 pounds, said. “It came down to SMU and Tulane, and the biggest determining factor was that I just wanted to get away from home. SMU is right down the street and Tulane is in New Orleans.
“It’s far enough away from the hectic part of the city, but it’s also a really cool town, and there is always something to do. They always wanted me to play on the outside at defensive end, which is what I always wanted to do.”
