Tuioti-Mariner cuts list to seven

A few weeks ago, we talked with Corona (Calif.) coach John Brandom about his star offensive line recruit Max Tuioti-Mariner. Brandom said Tuioti-Mariner was close to narrowing his list to five to schools and although the Rivals 100 selection didn't quite get down to five, he does now have a final seven to choose from.
Tuioti-Mariner, 6-4, 300 pounds has close to 20 scholarship offers right now and just recently cut his list down to a workable seven.

"This is in no order, but his final seven are Cal, USC, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Arizona State and Colorado," Brandom said. "All of those schools have offered except for USC.
"Max was planning to attend their Rising Senior camp later month but he tweaked his MCL on the first day of Spring practice and won't be able to attend any camps now. He actually missed all of Spring practice for us. It's not too serious, it's not torn or anything but he can't work out until the fall so I'm not sure what USC is going to do now.
"They told us they were planning to offer him if he came to their camp but now that he can't make it, we'll see if they offer anyway or just wait and watch his first couple of games this season. He's in no hurry to make a decision and will definitely take a few official visits before making a commitment.
"Hopefully by August, we'll have the list narrowed down again and will start to set some of his visits at the time. Right now, I really don't think he has a leader, he's one of those guys that talks about a different school every day so that's why his trips will be so important to him."
