Tucker takes visit, discusses leaders

Elkton (Md.) Eastern Christian Academy 2014 safety Vashon Tucker took one unofficial visit recently. The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder discussed the latest at this time.
"I've been talking to Washington and Maryland," he said. "I still have three offers from Hawaii, Rutgers and UCLA.
"As far as Washington and Maryland, Washington has 2013 safeties coming in, but I'm on their board now. With Maryland, they want to see me first before they do anything."
Tucker just got off a trip to Rutgers for the Louisville game.
"I went to the Rutgers/Louisville, basically Big East Championship game," he said. "It was good, I really liked it. I like the atmosphere and how they treated me up there. I talked to the coaches, we just talked about the game."
Tucker mentioned the possibility of more trips, but has nothing planned at this moment.
Meanwhile, does he like anyone?
"I really like Rutgers and UCLA right now," he said. "UCLA is because I think that is a school that would fit me, I like the education. They have my field of study, doctor or nurse.
"Rutgers is up there because it seems like they are very interested in me. They are in contact regularly, and I like it."
Tucker and Eastern Christian completed a shortened season at 5-0 overall.
"Our team didn't get sanctioned, so we didn't get to play a lot of teams," he said. "Every week we didn't have a game, we still worked out and I think I got better on the field. I'd say my footwork and hips were improved."
