Truitt closing in on more offers

2014 athlete Omar Truitt of Washington (D.C.) St. John's College High continues to hold two offers, but believes the chances are high that he will add to his total relatively soon. Now the versatile junior is preparing for his upcoming season and hopes to take a few visits this fall.
"Recruiting has been going well," said Truitt, who is 5-foot-10 and 180-pounds. "I still have offers from Syracuse and Richmond, and Penn State is going to offer really soon. When September 1st hits a lot of schools said that they are going to jump right on me, so I can't wait."

Some of the other schools that have maintained steady contact with Truitt throughout the summer include Tennessee, Boston College, Michigan, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Vanderbilt and Alabama.
Earlier this summer Truitt had the opportunity to attend summer camps at Tennessee, Penn State, Alabama and Auburn. He was especially excited about his performance at the Penn State camp.
"The Penn State camp went really well," he said. "They are going to offer me soon because I did so well."
Truitt shared his thoughts on the Nittany Lion program and all of the recent happenings in Happy Valley.
"I really like them a lot," said Truitt. "If I were to go there I would get a lot of playing time. They have the best connections out of all the universities. They have a NFL head coach, and I just like everything about them."
At this time Truitt's only plans for visits this fall are to Penn State. Meanwhile, he continues to prepare for his upcoming junior season.
"I've been working with my defensive back's coach all summer," he said. "My speed has increased and I'm definitely more explosive than I have ever been. I gained 13 pounds of muscle and I just feel confident with myself."
