The 6-foot, 177-pound wideout opted for the Trojans after making his way onto their campus this past weekend for their game against Middle Tennessee.
"I went to the game this weekend," Brooks said. "I like what they have to offer. They throw the ball around a lot. The facilities are great. Also, they are still adding onto their campus so I'm excited about that."
The five-hour drive to the Alabama-based school also made it clear to Brooks that playing his college ball at the Sun Belt program would be a good decision.
"Proximity to home played a big factor," Brooks said. "I love when my parents come and watch me play. So to me it would be my home away from home."
For the talented wideout, he sees an opportunity for early playing time when he arrives on campus next season.
"They use all of their receivers too," Brooks said. "A true freshman caught the winning touchdown pass in the game against Middle Tennessee on Saturday."
Brooks missed his junior season due to injury but has had a strong start to his senior campaign. He has nine receptions for 186 yards and two touchdowns.
