Troxell sees allure of Auburn

A class-of-2017 prospect, Austin Troxell isn't in a rush to do much as it relates to his college recruitment. It's why he's not itching to make a verbal commitment. The Rivals250 offensive tackle doesn't even feel comfortable naming early frontrunners. He holds four scholarship offers for the time being and insists each school stands on equal footing.

In fact, the only bit of information he offers up is about which program is recruiting him the hardest.
"It's Auburn," Troxell said. "the coaching staff there is great. I have a teammate committed there and some guys that went to my school already down there."

WHAT'S NEXT?: Troxell says he plans to visit Auburn when the Tigers play Alabama and Georgia. He also hopes to make it to Alabama and Ole Miss at some juncture this fall. There are likely more scholarship offers in store for Troxell, who impressed in his team's season opener.
IN HIS WORDS: "Knowing all the people at Auburn doesn't really mean everything to me," Troxell said. "If I did go there, it would be pretty cool eot play with Malik [Miller] and Kerryon [Johnson]. Those two guys are actually recruiting me pretty hard."
RIVALS' REACTION: There's a bit of a pipeline at work from Madison Academy to Auburn and that is certainly alluring to Troxell. So while he says there's no early favorite in his recruitment, the draw of the Tigers is apparent. That said, Troxell's recruitment is in its infancy, so things could certainly change drastically in the future. It will be interesting to see if a school can swoop in and enamor the four-star lineman this fall.
