Troutman narrows the field

Browns Mills (N.J.) Pemberton Township defensive end Johnnie Troutman has narrowed things down to three schools and plans to take one more official visit before selecting a college.
"I've visited Penn State, Ohio State, and Maryland," Troutman said. "I have Virginia this weekend. That will be it. I'm only taking four visits. I'll decide after I visit Virginia."

When asked if he was still considering all three of the schools he has already visited, Troutman said, "The only one out of the running is Maryland."
Virginia has the last shot, but the Cavaliers have some catching up to do.
"Penn State and Ohio State are still my leaders," Troutman said. "They are tied."
Troutman said coach Darrell Hazell from Ohio State, coach Ron Vanderlinden from Penn State, and coach Mike Groh from Virginia have all stopped to see him this week.
The 6-foot-4 and 289-pound Troutman is the No. 37 strongside defensive end prospect in the Rivals.com player rankings and the No. 10 prospect in the state of New Jersey.
