Trojans target RB Huggins

Just when it appeared as though elite junior running back Savon Huggins just about had his offer list filled out one of college football's titans has decided to come along and perhaps shake things up.
Huggins isn't talking about favorites or where he will end up yet, but a new offer has given him even more to think about. That's saying a lot, considering the fact that the 6-foot-0, 190-pound back just about had his pick of schools before this news.

"USC offered me earlier this week," Huggins said. "I've been talking to them for about the past week and a half and they looked at my tape. I believe they've been heavily interested for a while but I just got the offer yesterday."
Huggins said he has been talking to some assistants for the Trojans, as well as head coach Lane Kiffin. He knows full well what USC means to college football and he's giving the school a lot of attention.
"They send guys to league and they're always in BCS games," he noted. "They're always on T.V. Everybody knows who the Trojans are. If you look back over the last ten years they've been the top dogs. If you go there you've got to compete."
Huggins hopes to make a west coast trip at some point in the near future. He would like to visit both Southern Cal and Stanford whenever he is able to do that.
He is also hoping to make a visit south to Florida over Memorial Day weekend later this month. Recently the only school Huggins has visited is Rutgers. He was at the Scarlet Knights' spring game. Huggins is very familiar with Rutgers, as he has been around the school numerous times since he was younger.
