Trojans offer Tampa teammates

Teammates Christian and Chaz Green, both juniors, got a big scholarship offer earlier this week from the same school. USC head coach personally visited Tampa (Fla.) Catholic and Carroll offered both players.
"Pete Carroll was here Tuesday," said Catholic head coach Bob Henriquez. "He offered both of them so that's pretty big."

Christian Green is the starting quarterback, although he projects as a wide receiver at the next level. Green, now 6-2 and 200 pounds, caught 10 touchdowns as a freshman at Catholic. He made the move to quarterback as a sophomore simply because he's the teams best athlete. In fact, Green will be one of the top athletes in the nation next season at quarterback. Like Russell Shepard he's electrifying with the ball in his hands.
Green has scholarship offers now from Southern Cal, Florida State, Florida, Miami, Michigan, Tennessee and others.
He is also one of the better basketball players in Tampa but elected not to play this season so he could concentrate on getting bigger and faster and preparing for his senior football season.
Chaz Green is an offensive tackle prospect. Green, now 6-6 and 290 pounds, transferred to Catholic from Palm Harbor University School prior to the 2008 season. Over the past six months he has put on 25 pounds. Green is light on his feet for a big man and hasn't even scratched the surface of just how good he can become. He currently has scholarship offers from Southern Cal, USF, Miami, Michigan, Florida and Florida International. The Gators offered Green this afternoon.
