Trojans land huge 2012 pledge

The LOI's for the class of 2011 are less than a month away and one of the best wide receiver prospects for the class of 2012 has already decided on what school he will continue his education and play his college football at.
This is a case of the rich, getting richer as USC received the commitment from wide receiver Darreus Rogers (6-2, 194, 4.5) from Carson, Calif.
Rogers was one of the reasons that Carson was able to get back to the Los Angeles City Section Championship game after coming down with 45 receptions for 1,347 yards and scored eight touchdowns while averaging 29.9 yards per catch.

USC continues their onslaught of nabbing big time receiver talent.
Carson head coach Elijah Asante comments on his talented wide receiver and his commitment.
"D.J. (Rogers) chose USC because of their tradition and because it is the school of his dreams," Asante said. "He likes their coaches and how they develop their wide receivers. He also likes the kind of players they are bringing in like the "Mamba" (De'Anthony Thomas) and George Farmer.
"D.J. can play with the best of them too," Asante said. "He is in the mold of Andre Johnson the wide receiver for the (Houston) Texas. He has phenomenal hands and runs excellent routes."
