Trojans come calling for Illinois standout

Wheaton, Ill. tight end prospect Anthony Moeaki (6-foot-4, 250 pounds) had just finished an after-school speed training program on Friday, and despite being worked hard in the 84 degree/100 percent humidity day, Moeaki had enough energy to talk about his latest scholarship offer
"I've received a scholarship offer from USC," Anthony Moeaki said. "Coach (Lane) Kiffin was back in school and said that the coaches saw my junior video and that they were impressed with it. Coach then told my head coach (Ron Muhitch) that USC was offering me a scholarship and that the paperwork was in the mail. I called Coach (Pete) Carroll later that night and he was watching a spring practice in Florida. We talked about USC and he told me that he was very excited about my ability and that want me to be a part of the Trojan program."

"I'm definitely excited about getting an offer from USC. They are national champions and they have a great program, no question about it. It's a great honor for me to receive an offer from both national champions (USC/LSU). I'm planning to make an unofficial visit to USC this summer."
When asked if the Trojans would be considered one of his Top 5 schools at this point, Moeaki was just short of placing the Trojans in that territory. "I would say that they have a very good chance of being there (Top 5 favorites), but at this point I'm still sorting through several schools and I also want to start focusing on getting ready for my senior season.
Moeaki also has added an offer from Northwestern University on Friday. "I also received an offer from Northwestern on Friday. I received the paperwork from them today. Northwestern is another quality school and program, and I'm very grateful to receive an offer from the Wildcats."
Anthony Moeaki currently has scholarship offers from USC, Northwestern, Kansas, UCLA, Notre Dame, Purdue, Kentucky, Indiana, Michigan State, Tennessee, Iowa, Illinois, Iowa State, Wisconsin, Brigham Young, Maryland, Louisville and Nebraska.
