Trio of schools lead for Davis

Atlanta (Ga.) Tri-Cities athlete Tristan Davis is being recruited hard by schools all over the country. He's begun to narrow things down, and now three schools are his leaders.
The 5-foot-11, 188-pound athlete runs the 40-yard dash in 4.45 seconds and bench presses 355 pounds. Who does he like?

"Right now it looks like Auburn, Florida and Wisconsin are the three I'm most interested in," he said. "Auburn hasn't offered me yet, but the other two have and I think they will. All three places make good use of the athletes they have, and each year they have some pretty good teams. It's tough to find a school where you can play early but also be on a good team, but I think I've found that situation at these three places."
Davis is also interested in North Carolina and Virginia, both of whom have offered, but they trail his top three. Davis has led Tri-Cities to a solid 5-4-1 season against a tough schedule, and will be in the playoffs soon.
"We've got the playoffs coming up soon, so I haven't been able to set up any trips or take any yet," he said. "I definitely want to take my five official visits. This decision is too important to waste any opportunities like that. I'll probably take them to the five schools I like the most and make a decision afterwards."
