Trio makes impression on Tampa OL

Before the May evaluation period began, Tampa (Fla.) Jefferson’s Donnie Woods list of schools looked quite different from now. He was favoring mainly out of state schools. On the first day of spring practice, the 6-foot-4 and 290 pound offensive tackle picked up an offer from one of the big-three Florida schools to go along with several new offers from out of state schools. Where does he stand now?
“I have new offers from North Carolina, Florida State, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Tennessee and Michigan State,” Woods said. “Coaches from both North Carolina and Florida State came by my school early in the spring and made a big impressions. North Carolina and Florida State are my two early favorites. The North Carolina offensive line coach told me that can play right away. The first day of spring practice a Florida State coach came by, and he offered me a scholarship. Florida State is losing five offensive linemen next year. A coach from Oklahoma came by, and he also made a big impression.”
