Trinity Valley prospects making decisions

Athens (Texas) Trinity Valley Community College prospects are starting to wind down their processes and get ready for the next level. Even with head coach Mark Sartain has moved on from the Texas junior college, scoop on several of the prospects are coming out in the recent days.
With the mid-term signing day this Wednesday, a pair of Trinity Valley prospects in Jacob Patton and Jacob Bane are expected to be on that list for Division I schools. Several other May prospects have already made their commitments as well.

"I think Patton and Bane will be the Division I mid-term signees that I know of," Trinity Valley defensive coach Corey Chancellor said. "Jacob Bane had committed to New Mexico but a couple of days ago Louisville came in on him and they've been talking to him the last few days. That's where things stand right now."
Running back Eric Ransom made a commitment to Bowling Green after taking a visit there several weeks ago. Cornerback Arseel Shakoor is still looking at several Division I options including TCU, Louisville, and Tennessee.
The top recruit on the team appears to be three-star safety Nevin McKenzie who has gathered in scholarship offers from Arkansas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, TCU, and UTEP among others.
"He's going to go to Louisville and Tennessee after Christmas because he's going to be a May-signee for sure," Chancellor said.
