Trimane Goddard picks his school

Robersonville (N.C.) Roanoke defensive back Trimane Goddard has made his decision. So will it be North Carolina or Virginia?
"We just had a press conference this morning and Trimane picked North Carolina," said head coach Donnie Keifer. "He visited Virginia and then took a trip to North Carolina this past weekend. He was thinking about visiting Tennessee and Florida State because both schools were coming after him hard, but we agreed it wasn't right to string along other teams after he knew his decision for sure."

Goddard, ranked as the No. 10 cornerback in the country by Rivals.com, chose the Tar Heels for many reasons.
"Mainly it came down to feel," said Keifer of his 5-foot-11, 180-pounder. "One of those intagible feelings you can't describe. But he also had a great respect for the coaches and likes the idea of playing close to home and helping turn things around there."
Goddard is the highest ranked high school commitment for the Heels so far this recruiting year.
