Trigg discusses pledge to UC

Cincinnati added a commitment from local Dayton (Ohio) Chaminade-Julienne defensive end Rob Trigg. The 6-foot-2, 232-pounder gave his commitment to the Bearcats over a week ago over offers from Kent, Toledo and Miami (Ohio).
"I actually committed on the 15th," he said. "I called coach Dantonio himself and he was very excited and happy that I made my mind and I was ready to be a Bearcat.

"I decided on them because I really like the atmosphere up there. I've been a couple times over the summer and I really felt like a part of the family. It was like a second home to me. I liked all the coaches; they are really good people and coaches I could work with. I get along with all the coaches and I think it's someplace I can get a better understanding of football."
The coaches haven't discussed too much about playing time, but Trigg feels he'll get a chance early at Cincinnati.
"Coach Dantonio said I'll have a chance to play as a freshman if I work hard," he said. "He went on to say that I should be able to get in a lot my sophomore year."
The two-star prospect can't wait to join the Bearcats and plans to make his official in December 1st.
"I'm excited and glad to have a decision, it's a good time to be a Bearcat."
