Trey Morrison trims list, set for summer commitment

Trey Morrison at one time thought he would be committed by now. He isn't. But by the end of June he likely will be.

The 5-foot-10, 175 pound cornerback out of Norcross (Ga.) Greater Atlanta Christian has over 20 offers, he let the schools come in to evaluate this spring and he is now down to six schools.

Cincinnati, Louisville, Maryland, North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia are Morrison's finalists.

CINCINNATI: "Coach Martinez is a great coach and he speaks to me like he believes me. That really stands out among the coaches who are recruiting me. He has the style I really like, he is a great guy and I would love to play under him."

LOUISVILLE: "Coach Ward is a really cool coach and Louisville is good school with a great football program. I like the way they communicate with me. We talk a lot."

MARYLAND: "Coach Abdul-Rahim is great I love the relationship we have together. I love him as a coach I can just talk with about anything. They have a plan at Maryland and I really believe in what they are doing."

NORTH CAROLINA: "It is really the perfect mix football and academics at North Carolina. The coaches also good too. It's just also been a favorite school of mine growing up."

VIRGINIA: "The coaching staff stands out to me a lot. They are great coaches because they don't just care about the football aspect, but they are trying to build you into a man as well. Also, the education is great there you will have so many connections if you graduate there really good place to start you career and life after football."

WEST VIRGINIA: "It has been high on my list since day one and coach Belk does a great job recruiting me. It is a great atmosphere up there and I like their winning tradition. It just feels like a great place to be."

Morrison may visit Cincinnati this weekend and he is set to visit North Carolina again next weekend. After that, a decision should be nearing.

"I want to commit in the next two to three weeks," said Morrison.
