Washington D.C. St. Johns College linebacker Rico McCoy made official visits to Ohio State, Tennessee, Pitt, and Syracuse before narrowing things down to the Buckeyes and Volunteers before Christmas.
Asked if his decision was still down to OSU and Tennessee, McCoy said, "It's still those two schools. I'm still going to announce at the Army All-American game Jan. 15.
"I watched both of them (in their bowl games) on T.V. Both teams were impressive. Both of them played well on defense.

"It's even right now."
Asked if the Maurice Clarett allegations and Troy Smith suspension were factors in his decision, McCoy said, "They had that stuff all over ESPN. But it doesn't effect me. It happened before the season. It's like a low blow coming out now.
"It's not a factor in my decision. But if more stuff came out before Jan. 15 and they got penalized, then it could change. I'll just wait and see.
"Coach Tressel is coming to my house (today). He'll be at my school during the day and at my house sometime (tonight).
"Coach Fullmer came last month."
The 6-foot-2 and 210 pound McCoy made 88 tackles including three sacks during his senior season. McCoy is the No. 8 outside linebacker prospect in the Rivals.com player rankings and the No. 1 prospect in the District of Columbia.
