Treggs, a 5-foot-10 prospect who shined a day after coming back from ASU at the Los Angeles NIKE Camp, said he likes new receivers coach Steve Broussard and how Arizona State would use him in its offense.
"ASU was good," Treggs said. "There were a lot of guys from California there so I was familiar with the group of guys they had there. They made a couple changes to the coaching staff so it was good to meet those guys.
"I talked to those guys, we actually had a meeting, and (Broussard) showed me some film and how I'd be used in the offense. They're going to spread it out so that's very attractive. In that offense I can catch the ball a lot."
Next up for Treggs, who finished with 56 receptions for 1,010 yards and 12 touchdowns last season, are trips to Notre Dame and Washington this month. Seeing South Bend is especially important to Treggs because the Irish and Cal are considered two of his top choices.
"I've never been there so it will be good to finally see it because I've heard so many good things about it," Treggs said.
"It will be good to get out there. I talk to coach (Mike) Denbrock on a daily basis so we have a good relationship."
Washington is also moving up the list for Treggs, who has offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, Cal, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, San Jose State, Stanford, UCLA, Utah and the Huskies. USC has also been showing lots more interest in recent weeks.
"I also talk to the receivers coach at Washington, coach (Jimmie) Dougherty, and I talk to my old quarterback, Keith Price, so he's there and I talk to him a lot too."
