Treadwell adds Florida

Crete-Monee (Ill.) four-star prospect Laquon Treadwell made his debut as the nation's No. 1 wide receiver in the Rivals100 on Monday. That same day he received a bit of news from Florida Gators head coach Will Muschamp.
"Three of the [Florida] coaches hit me up on Facebook and told me to give [Muschamp] a call," Treadwell said. "So, once I got out of practice I gave him a call, we talked a little bit and he offered me."

Florida is a school that has come on in Treadwell's recruitment just in the last few months, and he is excited to add their offer to his list.
"It means a lot to me," Treadwell said. "I think I am going to look into this, see what they have to offer and find out some things about them."
When Treadwell was in Orlando last month for the Gridiron Kings event he had looked into making a visit to Gainesville with Gators commit Vernon Hargreaves III, but was not able to make it work. He is considering them for an official visit later in the process, however.
"My coach would like me to do [official visits] after the season when I wouldn't have to worry about anything, so most of them will be after the season," Treadwell said. "I'm not sure yet and not really going to say whether Florida is going to get one or not."
Treadwell has had a list of favorites around six or seven teams deep for most of the summer, but the schools on that list have changed from time to time. He updated the make up of that list heading into the fall.
"Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Michigan, Michigan State, Auburn and Ole Miss," Treadwell said. "[Florida] is in the group and I like UofI [Illinois] too."
Treadwell has not set any official visits yet, but he is planning to attend Ole Miss' home contest against Texas on Sept. 15 unofficially and expects to be at the Oklahoma-Oklahoma State "Bedlam" rivalry in Norman on Nov. 24.
