Going into his visit to Iowa on Tuesday Westlake, Ohio, linebacker B.J. Travers had a scholarship offer from the Hawkeyes and had said Iowa was his favorite. If there was any doubt Travers erased it.

"I went through the whole visit," Travers said. "I talked to the coaches. I saw the campus. I did everything."
"Coach Ferentz couldn't be there. But at the end of the visit he called and I committed."
"There were lots of reasons. It was everything put together. They have a nice campus, a great program, the strength coach is tremendous. There are a lot of great things out there."
"There wasn't really a second choice. Iowa was the top school and everyone else was behind."
The 6-foot-0 and 228 pound Travers had over two dozen scholarship offers including USC, Pitt, Maryland, Kentucky, and West Virginia. Travers made 194 tackles during his junior season. He is the number 16 overall prospect in the state of Ohio.
