Trautwein has one visit left

Offensive tackle Phil Trautwein is nearing the end of the recruiting process, and has already taken four of his five allowed official visits. He has one trip remaining, and how that goes could determine where he spends his college years.
The 6-foot-7, 310-pound tackle from Vorhees (N.J.) Eastern Regional runs the 40-yard dash in 5.1 seconds. He has already taken official visits to Boston College, Michigan State, Virginia and Tennessee, and has a trip to Florida coming up on Jan. 16. What does he expect?

"I've seen things I like at all the schools I've been to, so I expect the same at Florida," he said. "I've always been a big Gators fan, so I'm really excited about this one. I think it's going to be great. They have such a great program and are loading up on talent with these last two recruiting classes. If I really enjoy this trip it will definitely help Florida out a lot."
What does he like about the rest of the schools he has visited?
"The thing that all four of them have in common is that they're all programs that I think have a chance to be really good on the field in the future," he said. "All of them are going to be in big-time conferences, but all their coaches have told me I would get a chance to prove myself early on. I'm not expecting to start my first year or anything, but I would like the opportunity to show what I can do and try to earn some playing time."
Trautwein has received scholarship offers from the four schools he has visited in addition to Florida, and will make his decision near the end of the recruiting process.
