Trautwein enjoys local visit

After taking an official visit to Michigan State earlier this season, Voorhees (N.J.) Eastern Regional offensive tackle Phil Trautwein decided to stay more local for his second trip.
"I went to BC this weekend and had a very good time," said the 6-foot-6, 280-pounder. "I was hosted by lineman Pat Ross and the players were all cool. The coaching staff is nice and it only took my mom five hours to get there, so that's a bonus. I also liked the campus."

Trautwein took his first official trip to Michigan State in September and likes both the Spartans and Eagles.
"I would say they are even," he said. "One thing MSU has going for them is coach Stoutland, the offensive line coach. I really liked him, but I liked my recruiting coach at BC (Keith Willis) a lot too and learned a bunch from him."
Trautwein has set his third official visit for Nov. 22 with Tennessee. He's also looking at visiting Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland or Rutgers.
"I want to take all five trips," he said. "I'll decide on my others after Tennessee."
Trautwein is ranked as the No. 27 offensive tackle in the country by Rivals.com.
