Trattou takes in Penn State junior day

Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep defensive end Justin Trattou holds nine scholarship offers and decided to take in a junior day at one of the school's last weekend. The 6-foot-4, 230-pounder headed up to State College for an enjoyable stop at the Nittany Lions junior day.
"It was a great visit," he said. "I was able to attend a practice scrimmage where the offense went against the defense and it was pretty cool. They look like they have a real tough team and it seemed like all the guys were having a lot of fun out there."

On the trip, Trattou was able to talk to most of the staff.
"Besides watching the scrimmage, I got to talk to the coaches," he said. "I talked to all of them including coach Paterno and Johnson. It was pretty cool talking to Joe Paterno because this was my first time meeting him. We basically talked about football and my perception of him is that he is a great guy that's funny. It's crazy to think he's been doing that job for 50 years.
"I also talked to Larry Johnson. He mostly told me about what it's like to be at Penn State and how he pushes his players and makes them try harder."
Next up for the lineman prospect is a trip to South Bend for the Notre Dame spring game on April 22nd.
Last season Trattou registered 96 tackles and 11 sacks. He earned first team all-county, first team all-league and first team all-state honors.
