Transfer Tracker: Wake Forest 4-star WR enters portal

The transfer portal never stops moving. On Wednesday morning, Wake Forest former four-star wide receiver Nolan Groulx officially made himself available.

Recruiting: Groulx initially committed to Wisconsin after his junior season, but after re-opening his process four months later, he committed to Wake Forest during the summer leading up to his senior season.

At Wake Forest: Groulx redshirted during his true freshman season, only playing in the Pinstripe Bowl against Michigan State. In 2020 he played in nine games, including two starts. He totaled eight receptions for 58 yards.

Potential landing spots: While it is very early in his process, interest has already come in from Nebraska, Texas Tech, Coastal Carolina, Western Kentucky, Utah and others.

Farrell’s Take: I liked Groulx a lot out of high school as not only a sharp route runner and a kid with hands but also as a kid with explosion downfield. He ate up some elite defensive backs at camps and I thought he would be a star at Wake. He's a Power Five level kid in my book and more schools should come in with interest. Anyone who needs a powerful slot with elite change of direction skills and the ability to adjust to bad balls should take a look.
