Transfer Tracker: Offers coming in for UAB transfer DT

The transfer portal never stops grinding. Since entering on Monday, UAB transfer defensive tackle Tony Fair has become the hottest name on the market. Already with six Power 5 offers, plenty of additional schools are also close to offering.

Recruiting: Fair initially committed to Nebraska over Indiana during the summer leading up to his 2019 JUCO season, but then he and the Huskers parted ways in early December. Back on the market, UAB, the Hoosiers and Louisiana were considered, but it was the Blazers who grabbed his commitment.

At UAB: In his two seasons at UAB, Fair totaled 56 tackles, seven tackles for a loss, three forced fumbles and one sack.

Potential landing spots: Indiana, Purdue, Michigan, Iowa, Auburn and Ole Miss have already offered, while Oregon, Alabama, Florida State, Texas A&M and Missouri have been in contact. He played his high school ball in Indiana, so both the Hoosiers and Boilermakers make sense, but there will be plenty of competition.

Farrell’s Take: Defensive tackles are at a premium in the portal and Fair has become quite popular. As a MIdwest kid he could end up in the Big Ten but SEC offers are also alluring. He's a massive kid who can not only make it tough sledding in the run game but he has some bounce in his step as a quarterback chaser.
