Mark Pszonak contributed to this report.

The transfer portal never stops grinding. On Wednesday, Texas A&M lost two veteran contributors, former four-stars WR Camron Buckley and DB Derrick Tucker. Both entered the portal as graduate transfers.

Recruiting: Buckley seemed focused on Iowa, Miami, Arizona State, Houston, Auburn, Ole Miss and Texas, but an offer from Texas A&M in late June resulted in his commitment a day later.

Tucker surprised many with his commitment to the Aggies over Texas, TCU and LSU. The Longhorns were seen as his longtime favorite when he made his commitment in the spring after his junior season.

With the Aggies: Buckley totaled 62 receptions for 877 yards and four touchdowns at Texas A&M. He missed the 2020 season with an injury.

Tucker totaled 84 tackles, one interception and five pass breakups with the Aggies. He opted out of the 2020 season

Potential landing spots: Buckley has received significant early interest from Utah, UCF, Indiana, Kansas and Hawaii (as well as numerous FCS programs), while Tucker is also receiving interest from Utah and Kansas, as well as Oregon State, Baylor and Louisville.

Farrell’s Take: Both players bring value to Power Five teams or high level Group of Five teams and will he heavily pursued. Buckley has show he can produce at a high level and if he returns for form after injury he will be valuable at a mid level Power Five. Tucker is perhaps even more intriguing as he should be able to plug in for someone with immediate defensive backfield needs.

Impact Meter: Buckley 6.7 out of 10

Tucker 7.3 out of 10

IMPACT METER

The Transfer Portal continues to change the way college football programs recruit and manage their rosters so we here at Rivals.com continue to evolve our coverage. Each time a player of note enters the portal, we will examine their potential impact on the college football landscape and assign an impact rating, both when they enter the portal and when they choose a destination. The scale is from 1-10 and the description below explains the scoring scale.

1.1-4.0 — Not a big impact expected, likely a non-starter and down the bench depth player.

4.1- 6.0 — A solid impact can be expected in the right scenario and has the potential to battle for a starting job.

6.1-9.0. — A high impact player who won’t change a program but will certainly be a very good contributor and starter.

9.1- 9.9 — A very high impact player who should start the moment he steps on the field and will change the outlook of a program immediately.

10 — A franchise transfer who has a chance to be an All American and one of the elite players in college football.
