Transfer Tracker: DB duo commits to Michigan State

The Transfer Portal has changed the landscape of college football. So at Rivals we bring you the Transfer Tracker, where we analyze players entering the portal and rate them on what kind of impact they could make at their new home.
On Saturday, Michigan State stayed very busy in the transfer portal, landing both DB Marqui Lowery Jr. from Louisville and DB Khary Crump from Arizona
Recruiting: Crump committed to Arizona over Oregon, Oregon State, Brigham Young and Utah State before the Wildcats' spring game. Lowery was initially committed to Appalachian State but flipped to Louisville during the early Signing Day.
At Arizona & Louisville: Crump played in two games as a true freshman with the Wildcats, not recording and stats, while Lowery Jr. didn't play during his true freshman season with the Cardinals.
Farrell’s Take: The Spartans clearly need defensive backs and guys who can impact early and they found a couple of players with good upside. Crump was more heavily recruited and has more natural instincts but Lowery Jr. has good length and Louisville has done a nice job of finding sleeper defensive backs in North Carolina (Jaire Alexander is a good example). Neither of these players are expected to be superstars but they are solid corners who will add much needed depth and one of them if not both will be a starter down the line most likely.

The scale is from 1-10 and the description below explains the scoring scale.
1.1-4.0 — Not a big impact expected, likely a non-starter and down the bench depth player.
4.1- 6.0 — A solid impact can be expected in the right scenario and has the potential to battle for a starting job.
6.1-9.0. — A high impact player who won’t change a program but will certainly be a very good contributor and starter.
9.1- 9.9 — A very high impact player who should start the moment he steps on the field and will change the outlook of a program immediately.
10 — A franchise transfer who has a chance to be an All American and one of the elite players in college football.
