It's been a long and busy offseason for three-star Fort Wayne (Ind.) Carroll safety Drue Tranquill but he's hoping all his hard work will pay off soon when he sits down to make a commitment.
"I'm kind of looking to narrow it down here soon," said Tranquill, who has been to several camps over the past few months. "Right now I'm considering Purdue, Michigan, Notre Dame and Cincinnati."
Of his top four, only the Boilermakers and Bearcats have offered, but Tranquill is hoping his recent strong showings at events will convince the Irish and Wolverines step up as well.
Regardless, he plans on making a decision sometime before his senior season begins in August.
"I'm kind of looking to make my final visits in July so I can make my decision before my season starts," he said. "So I'm thinking end of July, early August, just so I can focus on my team and our season."
Tranquill said the same type of thing stand out about each program.
"They all have good academics, coaching staffs and facilities," he said. "There's great tradition at all those programs and they have great staffs."
The plan for the 6-foot-2, 205-pound safety is to take visits to each of his favorites next month and if the feeling is right, he may even commit on the spot.
"I'll visit all four in July and if it feels right when I'm at a certain school then I'll make my decision then," Tranquill said.
