Townsend to follow friend to SEC
Delran (N.J.) Holy Cross wide receiver James Townsend heard a buddy of his committed to an SEC school this week. Is he going to follow?
"I heard Cory Boyd committed to South Carolina, which is cool," said the 6-foot-1, 180-pounder. "He and I hit it off pretty good down on our visit. Now that he's committed, it makes USC look even better."

However, Townsend isn't ready to be fitted for a Gamecock uniform just yet.
"I need to see a couple more places," he said. "I'm going to West Virginia this weekend and then I have Iowa on Jan. 17. I also have Syracuse on Jan. 24 but I'm not sure if I'll need that."
Is USC his leader?
"Yeah, I like it a lot and I like my recruiting coach, coach Guge (Dave Deguglielmo," he said. "I'd like to see WVU and Iowa before I decide, but I might be ready after this weekend."
