Town ready for big ACC visit

Ricky Town is excited for his unofficial visit next weekend because it's a big one as the 2015 quarterback from Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure and his teammate, Bryce Dixon, embark on their trip to Miami.
The Hurricanes have already offered Dixon, a 2014 tight end, and Town said he's thrilled to get to Miami, see what the game-day experience is all about and talk further with the coaches.

"I'm really looking forward to it," Town said. "I haven't really talked to the coaches much. I've text messaged them here and there. I don't know if they can talk to me right now but it's going to be a good trip.
"The thing I'm looking forward to is watching the game, that's cool, but I really want to see how they operate on game day with coach (Jeff) Fisch, to see how he talks to the quarterbacks and what it's like to be a Hurricane on game day."
Town, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound prospect, has not landed any offers yet but since he's just a sophomore it might only be a matter of time until more programs get involved.
The Ventura St. Bonaventure standout has been hearing from Miami and Boston College regularly and he said Michigan and UCLA have gotten involved. Plans are in place to go to the Bruins' game against Arizona on Nov. 3.
Town's sophomore season is going well which could also help his recruitment. His team is 5-1 with its only loss coming against powerhouse Santa Margarita.
Dixon and Arizona commit Zachary Green are also playing well and Town said he's happy with how things are going.
"Everything is going great," Town said.
"It's a lot of fun just to have the weapons we have on offense and I think the line has given me a lot of time to make plays.
"Zach is doing a great job getting the amount of yards with the carries he's getting. Our receivers are making a lot of good plays and making some tough runs and I think we have a pretty tough team. It's just been fun."
