Town readies for ACC visit

Ricky Town has led Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure to three wins to start the season with big victories against Corona Centennial and Redlands East Valley in the last two weeks.
What's most impressive about all this is that Town is a 2015 quarterback who's just getting settled in varsity football but has still put up nice numbers, shown leadership ability even though he's a sophomore and has his team playing well.

It won't get much easier for Town and St. Bonaventure with upcoming games against Santa Margarita, Calif., and Westlake Village Westlake but everything is looking up and Town is excited.
"We won last Friday and it was another great win," Town said. "I'm getting more and more comfortable out there. I'm feeling pretty confident in the team and I feel like we can win a lot of games."
Recruiting is also looking good for Town, who's mainly been hearing from Miami and Boston College early on.
The 2015 standout visited Miami this past summer and he's booked another trip to get down there the weekend of Oct. 12 when the Hurricanes host North Carolina.
Town, who shined this summer at the Southern Cal Rivals.com Showcase Powered by FBU Select at Oaks Christian, will visit with teammate Bryce Dixon, a 2014 tight end, who was just offered by the Hurricanes.
Miami offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Jedd Fisch and Town have developed a good relationship so the 2015 standout wants to see how things operate there - just in case the Hurricanes happen to offer later in his recruitment.
"That's all set up and we're going," Town said.
"I'm looking forward to it definitely. I want to get a closer look at how they perform on game day. I was hoping to get with coach Fisch if it's not a problem to see how they go through their pre-game and how he talks to the quarterbacks on game day. I'm looking forward to it."
