Town plans busy schedule

Ricky Town is already a big name in the 2015 recruiting class and recently the Ventura (Calif.) St. Bonaventure quarterback added another major offer to his list.
Florida State is the latest program to offer Town, a 6-foot-4, 190-pouund prospect who also has Arizona State, Miami and UCLA offers.

"I showed them some film and they seemed to be interested," Town said of the Seminoles. "I've been talking to coach (Tim) Brewster for a while and then I called him and he told me to call him the next day. That's when they made the offer.
"I think it's a great program. I was excited because that's definitely a huge offer especially with the amount of people they sent in the draft this year. That was really exciting."
No unofficial visit has been planned yet, probably because Florida State just recently offered, but also because Town has a pretty extensive travel schedule this summer already.
Still, the 2015 standout said he would like to get to Tallahassee soon to see if it would be a good fit in the coming years.
"I definitely would like to get a trip down there to check it out," Town said. "I want to see what it's like down there. I went to Miami and it will be somewhat like that but I want to see what that campus is like."
Town plans to be at Alabama this week and then he's headed to camps at Texas, Georgia, USC and UCLA. The 2015 prospect was expected to also go back to Stanford but because of a summer school Spanish class, that trip will not happen.
All those other visits were expected except for Texas, a new player in his recruitment.
"That kind of popped up," Town said. "They came to my school the other day and they seemed to be interested in me. I talked to them about taking a trip so I'm going there."
